TAGSYS, the leading provider of item-level RFID infrastructure, announced Bruno Davoine has been appointed the company's new Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Mr. Davoine will be responsible for spearheading TAGSYS' global sales, marketing, and go-to-market strategies. Davoine has more than 20 years of sales management experience in the IT, software and telecommunications sectors. Prior to joining TAGSYS, he served as President and General Manager of Tahoe SAS, and held sales and management positions at Cable & Wireless Ltd., Adobe Systems, and Symbiotic.
"TAGSYS has transformed itself from an RFID components company into a total solutions provider," Davoine said. "I am convinced that RFID, as part of a complete information system, presents a huge opportunity in enhancing the consumer experience. RFID solutions, much like telecommunications solutions, can not only change the way information is processed within an enterprise but also the way the brands will interact with consumers in the future. I look forward to developing new sales and marketing strategies to capitalize on these opportunities."
In his previous positions, Davoine implemented successful sales strategies for new vertical and geographic markets, and helped establish new direct and indirect sales channels. In the telecommunications market specifically, Davoine has direct experience realigning sales and marketing strategies from being focused on selling component technology to complete enterprise systems—in much the same way the RFID market has had to transition from providing tags and readers to developing holistic solutions.
Davoine completed two Bachelors in Civil Engineering and Architecture at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and graduated with a Masters of Civil Engineering from l'Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées. He has served as chairman of the Business Software Alliance (BSA) France, and is a non-executive board member of Redwood Consulting International. He has lived and worked in France, the U.S., UK, and Canada.
"Bruno brings with him a wealth of experience in selling total solutions in both the software and telecommunications space," said Alain Fanet, TAGSYS CEO. “His leadership will be invaluable as TAGSYS continues to grow and expand into new markets, and as we continue to develop complete, end-to-end solutions built around our unique RFID expertise, technology and other core competencies."
