TraceTracker Asset is using CAEN RFID as supplier of RFID technology 
Internet-based system for tracking movements of tools, equipment and vehicles in near real-time
TraceTracker, a leader in traceability and asset tracking software is using CAEN RFID as supplier of RFID technology for use in a new software solution for the construction industry. In March of 2011, TraceTracker unveiled a new web-based system called TraceTracker Asset that tracks tools, equipment and vehicles in near real-time. The system follows equipment movements on project sites and between projects using a combination of RFID and GPS technology. Each unit is marked with a simple tag and ID number that can be tracked automatically by radio-based reading devices (RFID) mounted on containers and vehicles. Online interfaces with maps and reports enable users to cut costs by reducing slack time, project delays and theft. The system is made possible by a number of partners and suppliers including CAEN RFID. Data capture is enabled by the Shepherd Platform from Telenor Objects. The local data capture is designed and provided by HRAFN AS, the leading RFID specialist in the Nordics. Technology from CAEN RFID and Owasys ensures robust and secure functionality, all assembled to a plug&play unit by Profi AS.
