Developing RFID hardware components

FEIG ELECTRONIC has been developing and manufacturing RFID systems since 1991. As an OEM supplier for system integrators and resellers, FEIG offers readers and antennas for operating frequencies of 125 kHz, 13.56 MHz and UHF (860-960 MHz).

125 kHz components are used for applications like access control, time attendance and charging systems, as well as battery-powered electronic locker locks are offered.

13.56 MHz components are not only used in fields of application like retail, logistics, pharmaceuticals, libraries and event management. ISO14443 card readers are also used in the growing markets ticketing, payment systems (e.g. public transport systems), ePayment and eDocument, since November 2010 for identification of the new German ID card.

UHF components with reading ranges of several meters, are used specifically for dock door applications and industrial process control. All OBID i-scan^® HF and UHF readers are multi-tag readers; due to their specification, they are able to identify several different transponder types.

Worldwide sales of FEIG products is guaranteed by the US subsidiary FEIG ELECTRONICS Inc. and several international distribution partners.

Entwicklung von RFID-Hardwarekomponenten

FEIG ELECTRONIC entwickelt und produziert seit 1991 RFID-Systeme. Als OEM-Lieferant für Systemintegratoren und Wiederverkäufer werden Leser und Antennen der Frequenzbereiche 125 kHz, 13,56 MHz und UHF (860-960 MHz) angeboten.

125 kHz-Komponenten kommen in den Bereichen Zutrittskontrolle, Zeiterfassung und Abrechnungssysteme zum Einsatz; ferner werden batteriebetriebene elektronische Schrankschlösser angeboten.

13,56 MHz-Komponenten kommen nicht nur in den Bereichen Handel, Logistik, Pharma, Bibliotheken und Eventmanagement zum Einsatz. Sie werden als ISO14443-Kartenleser in den Wachstumsmärkten Ticketing, Bezahlsysteme (z.B. Öffentlicher Personenverkehr), ePayment und eDocument verwendet, seit November 2010 zur Identifikation des neuen Personalausweises (nPa) in Deutschland.

UHF-Komponenten mit Lesereichweiten von bis zu mehreren Metern werden vor allem im Rahmen von Dock-Door-Applikationen sowie in der industriellen Prozesssteuerung genutzt. Alle OBID i-scan^® HF und UHF-Reader sind multitagfähig und können je nach Bauform verschiedene Transpondertypen identifizieren.

Neben einer Tochterfirma in den USA verfügt FEIG ELECTRONIC derzeit über Distributionspartner in 15 Ländern.
