MECTEC integrates “Quark”, the newest RFID UHF module from CAEN RFID

MECTEC and CAEN RFID have joined their efforts to optimize their resources and share their experience in the field of RFID UHF printers and applicators. The MECTEC D30/T50 and D40/T60 printers integrate the CAEN RFID “Quark” RFID UHF module, actually the smallest on the market.

The production of high-quality chocolate requires the accurate compliance with recipes. This also concerns the temperatures during storage and transport of specific products. To assure the correct transport environment the system Geqoo CoolChain is deployed. CAEN data loggers which are read out wirelessly are attached to specific products of the Lindt & Sprüngli portfolio. At particular stations in the supply chain the loggers are identified and read out for verification. The web-based software from ubigrate enables Lindt & Sprüngli and the logistics partner cross-company collaboration fulfilling highest standards of quality. With the easy-to-use-terminals the logistician is able to keep concentrated on his main task. At the same time the responsible user can access all temperature data during transport by using the web-platform. Therewith, the compliance with pretended temperatures is documented and flaws in the supply chain can be corrected quickly.

Lithuanian furniture manufacturer opts for RFID inlays from UPM Raflatac to increase logistic efficiency

One of Lithuania’s biggest furniture manufacturers, SC Freda, has implemented an RFID-enabled pallet tracking solution into its operations to automate its manufacturing logistics. SC Freda ships more than 10 000 pallets monthly to its sole customer, Swedish home furnishing giant IKEA. The complete solution results from cooperation between Autepra, a system integrator providing the RFID solution, and supplier of the Pragma ERP system, Proringas. The solution utilizes UPM Raflatac’s UHF RFID ShortDipole inlay, which is specifically designed to deliver stable high performance in supply chain management applications.

Caen: Labels for vehicles

Opossumnet, system integrator in the field of logistics and industrial automation, and CAEN RFID, leading provider of electronic instrumentation for radio frequency identification, have joined forces to devise a fully automated system based on the UHF RFID technology to guarantee control of all handling operations at the logistics centres of Automotive Group. Automotive Group needed a system capable of tracking handling operations and of organising vehicle maintenance (cars and vans) at their logistics centres, where every year more than 35,000 new and long-term vehicles are dealt with and over 500,000 vehicles are serviced. To achieve this target, Opossumnet has provided the entire fleet of Automotive Group with a sticker equipped with a UHF radio frequency device.
